The North Central Region of Vermont

The North Central region of Vermont, home to several resorts, is comprised of Washington, Lamoille and Orange counties, in which you'll find the towns of Barre, Berlin, Cabot, Calais, Duxbury, Fayston, Jeffersonville, Marshfield, Middlesex, Montpelier, Moretown, Northfield, Plainfield, Roxbury, Waitsfield, Warren, Waterbury, Woodbury, Worcester, Belvidere, Cambridge, Elmore, Eden, Hyde Park, Johnson, Morrisville, Smugglers' Notch, Stowe, Waterville, Wolcott, Bradford, Braintree, Brookfield, Chelsea, Corinth, Fairlee, West Fairlee, Newbury, Orange, Randolph, Strafford, Thetford, Topsham, Tunbridge, Vershire, Washington, Wells River and Williamstown. North Central Vermont is also home to the Stowe, Sugarbush, Smugglers' Notch, Mad River Glen and Bolton Valley mountain resort areas, as well as the Morse Farm, Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe, Smuggs, Blueberry Lake and Ole's cross county ski centers, making it a veritable hot-spot for winter activities, whether it's nordic, telemark or alpine skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing. Note: The Mad River Glen mountain resort does not allow snowboarding.
